Woodland Garden

The front garden had many mature trees, was shady and had little in the way of colour so we removed some of the trees that were significantly reducing light levels and having no positive benefits in terms of interest or privacy. The majority of the trees were retained and we worked on increasing planting in and around the trees to bring the garden to life. It has been important to use plants that would thrive in these conditions.

A mixture of shrubs and perennials were used in the main part of the garden to improve privacy and balance the bulk of the Rhododendrons .
